The Farrar School
The Farrar School House in Maxwell, Iowa started its first stage when in 1919 C.G. Geddes donated 6 acres of his farm to merge the area’s one room country school houses. The cornerstone inscribed with the year 1921 was set and the dedication ceremony commenced on April 1 1922. In 1922 Farrar school started for 1st through 12th grades. The school was an elementary school until 2002, it was in that year the school closed its doors. In 2006 is when the current owners purchased the school. The current owners bought the school to renovate into a home. The owners were not aware of the existance of any paranormal activity that took place within prior to purchasing the school. The owners were made aware when they moved in and then began the renovation process. There are claims of possible molestation and abuse that may have occurred during the school's years of operation, but none of that has been founded to be factual. As far as paranormal activity goes... there is some in this school.
There were two separate investigations conducted in the school. One investigation took place in April of 2014 with Siouxland Paranormal Research Society (Now PARA-911 SCIA), and in October of 2015 with Eventide Paranormal Research. The experiences had ranged from the capture of class A evp, sounds captured of a desk or table being dragged across the floor, and footsteps.
This footage is from a video camera I had sitting on the table on the 2nd floor. The objects you see sitting on the table are trigger objects, which are chocolate covered raisins. We are at base with the door closed on the floor below. There is a loud dragging sound from that 2nd floor the camera was on. ~The 2014 investigation~
Wearing headphones you can better hear most of this in more detail. This was caught on the 2nd floor audio towards the end of the investigation. We were all in the safe room/office. It appears to be the sound of a child locked up in a room. There is a sound that appears to be hitting on a door. Then muffled like yelling, whimpering, then a "Help me" at the end of the clip. ~The 2014 investigation~
This clip is from the stationary audio on the 3rd floor. We are on/near the stairs landing leading up to the 3rd floor. In this clip we are talking about the experience we had just had on playing the trigger audio of the school bell and the hallway chatter. The experience of hearing footsteps on the very stairs we were standing on. After the investigator says "Yeah" you will hear a light whisper like voice. The voice whisper appears to say "Walking with you." At this time the video camera was running, this was not caught on the video camera audio. ~~The 2014 investigation~
